Job Summary:
Provides organized nursing care to patients receiving treatment in an outpatient clinic, following predetermined standards of care and the nursing process. Manages and oversees assigned nursing staff at different levels, coordinates care with other disciplines, and utilizes critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Requirements:
Educational background and professional experienc
- Preference given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Preference given to experience in a hospital or doctor’s office.
Certifications and licenses:
- State of practice requires Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support –BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) is necessary.
Important Tasks:
- Gathers important information relevant to the patient’s health or circumstances. Examines the evaluation information to identify diagnosis and care concerns. Creates a strategy outlining actions to achieve desired results. Executes the plan, organizes care provision, and utilizes methods to enhance wellness and maintain a secure atmosphere. Assesses the advancement made in achieving goals. Determines results for the patient or the patient’s circumstances.
- Works with a team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, compassionate care in an environment of empathy. Offers educational experiences for patients/family members and team members. Gives health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
- Gets patient, room, and equipment ready for surgical procedures and aids physician in minor surgery. Carries out extra tasks as instructed.
- Effectively assigns tasks and organizes responsibilities of healthcare team -members.
- Takes part in discharge planning to ensure seamless care.
- Carries out additional responsibilities as instructed.
